Meet your instructor:
Ravyn Hill
Ravyn is a talented and resourceful alterations specialist, currently working fulltime as a professional Seamstress in the wardrobe department of Motor City Casino. She began her sewing journey, as a self taught sewist, scouring YouTube for basic sewing tutorials and projects. Like most people she inevitably encountered the question of, "Am I doing this right?" This uncertainty led her to google 'Sewing Lessons near me' and she found herself on the same website you are! Ravyn signed up for the Introductory Garment Construction Class, it was such a transformational experience that she began to volunteer at Sew Modest Studio. After a year-long apprenticeship she began teaching children and adults the fundamentals of sewing and garment construction. In addition to being a masterful sewist, she is also an incredibly talented crochet artist. She is now the Lead Instructor and Curriculum Developer for the Alterations Sewing courses at Sew Modest Studio!
